We provided free food and clothing etc. to local homeless people and people facing challenges supported by GPs from East Norfolk Medical Practice who were on hand to provide clinical assistance. The group ran for over 2 years.
Following a donation of 250 Christmas Stockings from Towergate Insurance we decided to bring people together to help fill Christmas stockings for local people in need…The campaign really caught the imagination.. and really helped a lot of people. 500 plus other items were distributed in the first year. Association of Corporate Governance Practitioners. In 2019 I qualified as a member of the ACGP. This would not have been possible without the support of The Professional Footballers Association. Karl George MBE, Oshor Williams and everyone involved with the 12 month course. Thank You, lessons learnt have really helped keep us going.
Simon Cheeseman and everyone at Slater Menswear have been a rock solid supporter of what we do. They have donated thousands of pounds worth of interview suits and clothing which we have put to good use helping people into employment and volunteering roles. This was part of our first donation.
Men Talk About It. Is an initiative to encourage Men to talk about any problems at an early stage to prevent escalation of problems. We are still working on getting men to talk!
We moved premises in the later part of the year, received a donation of 2500 Christmas Stockings..and went for it ! Following the 2019 Christmas Stocking Campaign we built our relationship with Tesco Caister and in particular ‘Saint’ Bradie Hubbard. We were granted a food collection point to help with our groups. This proved to be a huge help with what was about to come…
We have now helped clear Sundown Festival of discarded tents, sleeping bags etc and re distributed them to local homeless people and support groups including the NHS and Councils. This was the first of 3 annual clearances with over 2000 items collected and recycled.
Early part of 2020 we were just about to launch our new employment initiative ‘Win or Lose Have Shiny Shoes’…Then…Covid hit! We will be relaunching this project as part of our employment initiative Take A Chance On Me
