Our History

The story behind the success of “Take a Chance on Me” is not a short one. A long history of fund raising and helping people has proceeded it, as you can see from the timeline below.

2017
Voluntary and Community Work 2014 to 2017
Prior to establishing Mandalay Wellbeing CIC, founder Trevor Saunders was involved in many successful voluntary projects which led to him forming a Community Interest Company aimed at supporting people and improving wellbeing.
5 Community Engagement Events

Bringing together support and community groups with GPs and medical professionals to widen the knowledge of patient support in locations.

Mandalay Wellbeing CIC formed on August 19th 2017.

It was way back in August 2017 that Mandalay Wellbeing CIC was formed.

2018
Cooking For Medical Conditions

We produced 2 films highlighting how diet can help certain medical conditions – Arthritis and Macular Degeneration.

National Association of Primary Care

We were invited to present at the National Association of Primary Care in London to showcase our Community Engagement Events with east Norfolk Medical Practice…then organised another one with more films highlighting community groups.

Bring In a Tin Day

We collected over 1500 items of food for the Salvation Army in 3 weeks when they were critically low on stock.

Community Engagement

We organised another community engagement event, this time bringing in commercial suppliers to work with clinical services and community groups.

Start Up Saturday

We created an employment group aimed at getting people off benefits and helping employers find the right candidates.

Odeon Cinemas Community Champion Award

We were awarded with the Odeon Cinemas Community Champion Award for East Anglia…and enjoyed a great day out.

The Bridge

The Bridge.. We brought together local business leaders to help people start their own businesses. It was an amazing event with a prize pot of £10k of donated services and prizes.
